Turned To Wood was born from a hobby of a man who has had a passion for wood his whole life. Roger Meyer started turning wooden bowls in 2002 shortly after he and his wife Lynn settled into their retirement home in Houston County of Southeastern MN. It didn’t take long for friends, relatives and fellow woodturners to recognize Roger’s talent
as he began creating unique wooden bowls and accessory pieces such as vases and pitchers.
Roger numbers and signs each individual piece and has maintained a continuous photographed log of all his works since he started creating his artistry in 2002.
Roger found his work being sought after by local art galleries and fund raisers. As he gained confidence in his artistry, Roger began experimenting with additional wood products and now also makes various-sized black walnut end tables and coffee tables.
